Delhi's Mathura Road, Outer Ring Road Among Most Dangerous Stretches

Delhi's busiest roads, including Mathura Road, Outer Ring Road, and Grand Trunk Road, are among those with the highest number of fatal accidents. A Delhi Traffic Police assessment identified 153 accident-prone locations across the city. Swaroop Nagar on Grand Trunk Road recorded 13 fatal crashes in 2025, the highest among black spots. The city recorded 492 pedestrian deaths between January 1 and September 30, 2026, with Ring Road, Grand Trunk Road, and Outer Ring Road featuring prominently in both fatal accident and pedestrian fatality lists.
