Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has written to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, requesting an investigation into the death of 20-year-old Himashree Boro. Boro, from Assam, went missing on October 6 while travelling on the Dibrugarh–Kanyakumari Vivek Express. Her family received a message expressing fear due to the presence of men. Her bag was found on the train, and her body was later recovered from a forested area in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district, raising suspicions of foul play.

असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव और आंध्र प्रदेश के सीएम एन चंद्रबाबू नायडू को पत्र लिखकर 20 वर्षीय हिमाश्री बोरो की मौत की जांच का अनुरोध किया है। असम की रहने वाली बोरो 6 अक्टूबर को डिब्रूगढ़-कन्याकुमारी विवेक एक्सप्रेस में यात्रा के दौरान लापता हो गई थी। उसके परिवार को पुरुषों की मौजूदगी के कारण डर व्यक्त करने वाला एक संदेश मिला था। उसका बैग ट्रेन में मिला था, और बाद में उसका शव आंध्र प्रदेश के श्रीकाकुलम जिले के एक जंगली इलाके से बरामद किया गया था, जिससे हत्या की आशंका जताई जा रही है।
