Delhi Commuters Face Traffic Chaos Amid Protests and Diversions

Times of India · india

Thousands of Delhi commuters experienced significant traffic disruptions on Saturday due to protests and extensive security measures. Roads in central and south Delhi were repeatedly blocked and diverted without warning, affecting approximately 30-35 locations including Connaught Place and the New Delhi district. Internet connectivity also faltered in several areas, exacerbating the confusion for motorists. The unpredictable nature of the closures, often changing based on protest movements and security needs, left many stranded and frustrated as they attempted to navigate the city for work and other commitments.
