Punjab to Get Uninterrupted Power Supply After Meeting With Union Minister

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met with Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss the state's electricity and coal shortages. The central government has assured uninterrupted supply of power and coal to Punjab, which contributes 180 lakh metric tonnes of rice to the central pool annually. Mann emphasized that a reliable power supply is crucial for maintaining this contribution to the nation's food reserves. The meeting also addressed issues related to the Shahpur Kandi dam project, with the Union Minister invited to visit Punjab's dam projects.

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने राज्य में बिजली और कोयले की कमी पर चर्चा के लिए केंद्रीय बिजली मंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर से मुलाकात की। केंद्र सरकार ने पंजाब को बिजली और कोयले की निर्बाध आपूर्ति का आश्वासन दिया है, जो सालाना केंद्रीय पूल में 180 लाख मीट्रिक टन चावल का योगदान देता है। मान ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि देश के खाद्य भंडार में इस योगदान को बनाए रखने के लिए विश्वसनीय बिजली आपूर्ति महत्वपूर्ण है। शाहपुर कंडी बांध परियोजना से संबंधित मुद्दों पर भी चर्चा हुई, और केंद्रीय मंत्री को पंजाब की बांध परियोजनाओं का दौरा करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया।
