Authorities in Haryana have seized 25,000 live cartridges, raising concerns about the diversion of ammunition from licensed gun houses in Uttar Pradesh to illegal arms manufacturers and criminal gangs. The recovery has prompted an investigation into an interstate network suspected of supplying ammunition to groups in UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Investigators are focusing on a Badaun-based arms dealer, Afifuddin alias Munna Khan, who allegedly sourced the cartridges from Haryana.
