Telangana Deputy Collectors Urge CEO to Clear Election Officials' Pending Dues

The Telangana Deputy Collectors' Association has formally requested the state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to expedite the clearance of pending bills for election officials. Association leaders met with CEO Sudarshan Reddy, highlighting that expenses incurred by Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) during the 2023 Telangana assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections significantly exceeded allocated budgets. Many officials resorted to personal borrowings to cover these additional costs, with reimbursements now overdue.

तेलंगाना डिप्टी कलेक्टर्स एसोसिएशन ने राज्य के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी (सीईओ) से चुनाव अधिकारियों के लंबित बिलों के भुगतान में तेजी लाने का औपचारिक अनुरोध किया है। एसोसिएशन के नेताओं ने सीईओ सुदर्शन रेड्डी से मुलाकात की और बताया कि 2023 के तेलंगाना विधानसभा और 2024 के लोकसभा चुनावों के दौरान रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर (आरओ) और सहायक रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर (एआरओ) द्वारा किए गए खर्च आवंटित बजट से काफी अधिक थे। कई अधिकारियों को इन अतिरिक्त लागतों को कवर करने के लिए व्यक्तिगत उधार लेना पड़ा, और अब प्रतिपूर्ति में देरी हो रही है।
