रियाद में GCC देशों के बीच फ्री ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट (FTA) को लेकर बातचीत हुई। यह मीटिंग आने वाले मंत्री स्तरीय बैठक से पहले हुई। इसका मकसद प्रगति का जायजा लेना और भारत व GCC देशों के बीच आर्थिक संबंधों को मजबूत करने के रास्ते खोजना था। ऐसे समझौते द्विपक्षीय व्यापार और निवेश बढ़ाने के लिए बहुत जरूरी हैं।
