India has taken another step towards reducing reliance on US GPS by successfully launching its indigenous navigation satellite, NVS-03. This satellite incorporates a homegrown Rubidium atomic clock and a new L1 signal band, significantly enhancing the capabilities of India's NavIC system. The improved system will benefit ordinary mobile users and bolster operations for the military, including missiles, drones, ships, and fighter jets. This launch marks a crucial advancement in India's technological self-reliance and strategic freedom for its defense operations.
