Kudumbashree's Kerala Chicken initiative, aimed at providing quality chicken affordably, is expanding to Idukki, its last remaining district. The project, which began in 2019, has achieved a sales turnover of ₹597.22 crore and aims for ₹200 crore this year. Currently, 547 farms and 172 outlets operate across the state, with plans for more company-operated outlets. This integrated model ensures product traceability and provides sustainable income, with women entrepreneurs earning up to ₹2.5 lakh.

कुडुंबश्री की केरल चिकन पहल, जिसका लक्ष्य सस्ती दरों पर अच्छी क्वालिटी का चिकन उपलब्ध कराना है, अब इडुक्की तक फैल रही है, जो इसका आखिरी जिला बचा था। यह प्रोजेक्ट 2019 में शुरू हुआ था और इसने ₹597.22 करोड़ का बिक्री टर्नओवर हासिल किया है। इस साल इसका लक्ष्य ₹200 करोड़ का है। फिलहाल, पूरे राज्य में 547 फार्म और 172 आउटलेट काम कर रहे हैं, और कंपनी द्वारा संचालित और आउटलेट खोलने की योजना है। यह एकीकृत मॉडल उत्पाद की ट्रेसिबिलिटी सुनिश्चित करता है और स्थायी आय प्रदान करता है, जिसमें महिला उद्यमी ₹2.5 लाख तक कमा रही हैं।
