Truck-e-rickshaw Collision Kills 3, Injures 4; Police Officers Transferred

Three people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and an overloaded e-rickshaw near Badi Canal in Rudrapur's Jaspur area. The e-rickshaw was carrying six passengers, exceeding the permitted limit of four, and was en route to Uttar Pradesh for a wedding. Following the incident, two sub-inspectors were transferred to police lines due to alleged negligence in vehicle checking. Authorities have seized the truck and are examining CCTV footage to trace the driver, who fled the scene.

रुद्रपुर के जसपुर इलाके में बड़ी नहर के पास एक ट्रक और ओवरलोडेड ई-रिक्शा की आमने-सामने की टक्कर में तीन लोगों की मौत हो गई और चार अन्य घायल हो गए। ई-रिक्शा में चार की तय सीमा से ज़्यादा छह यात्री सवार थे और यह उत्तर प्रदेश में एक शादी में जा रही थी। घटना के बाद, कथित तौर पर वाहन चेकिंग में लापरवाही बरतने पर दो उप-निरीक्षकों को पुलिस लाइन्स में भेज दिया गया। अधिकारियों ने ट्रक को जब्त कर लिया है और फरार हुए चालक का पता लगाने के लिए सीसीटीवी फुटेज की जांच कर रहे हैं।
