Hindustan Times · environment

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has deployed dedicated night teams across several zones to combat open garbage burning as the winter pollution season begins. These teams will respond to complaints received through various channels, extinguish fires, and issue challans to violators. This intensified enforcement follows directions issued on October 15, with specific night-time teams now established in Zones I, IV, and VI. The initiative aims to curb a recurring source of localized air pollution during the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) period.
