Chennai IT Employee Loses Rs 1.9 Lakh To Cyber Fraudsters

A 36-year-old IT employee in Chennai was defrauded of ₹1.9 lakh by cyber fraudsters. The victim, Subburaj, was tricked into visiting a fake website to cancel a credit card protection plan. He was instructed to enter a one-time password (OTP) on the fraudulent site. Shortly after entering the OTP, ₹1.90 lakh was debited from his account. Subburaj has filed a complaint with the MGR Nagar police, who have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

चेन्नई में 36 वर्षीय एक आईटी कर्मचारी से साइबर ठगों ने ₹1.9 लाख की ठगी की। पीड़ित, सुब्बाराज, को क्रेडिट कार्ड सुरक्षा योजना रद्द करने के लिए एक फर्जी वेबसाइट पर जाने के लिए बरगलाया गया। उन्हें धोखाधड़ी वाली साइट पर एक बार का पासवर्ड (ओटीपी) दर्ज करने का निर्देश दिया गया था। ओटीपी दर्ज करने के तुरंत बाद, उनके खाते से ₹1.90 लाख डेबिट हो गए। सुब्बाराज ने एमजीआर नगर पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है, जिन्होंने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और घटना की जांच कर रहे हैं।
