Agra Teachers MLC Seat: Repoll Recommended at 3 Booths Amid Irregularity Allegations

A re-poll has been recommended at three polling booths for the Agra Teachers' MLC constituency following allegations of irregularities and intimidation. The recommendation, made by the Returning Officer, has been forwarded to the Election Commission of India. Samajwadi Party candidate Aakash Agarwal alleged large-scale irregularities and claimed his supporters were intimidated during Friday's polling. Agarwal also threatened to convert to Islam if he was targeted, a video of which has gone viral. Counting of votes for the 11 MLC constituencies is scheduled for October 27.

आगरा शिक्षक एमएलसी निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के तीन मतदान केंद्रों पर अनियमितताओं और धमकाने के आरोपों के बाद दोबारा मतदान की सिफारिश की गई है। रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर द्वारा की गई यह सिफारिश चुनाव आयोग को भेज दी गई है। समाजवादी पार्टी के उम्मीदवार आकाश अग्रवाल ने बड़े पैमाने पर अनियमितताओं का आरोप लगाया और दावा किया कि शुक्रवार को हुए मतदान के दौरान उनके समर्थकों को धमकाया गया था। अग्रवाल ने यह भी धमकी दी थी कि अगर उन्हें निशाना बनाया गया तो वे इस्लाम कबूल कर लेंगे, जिसका एक वीडियो वायरल हो गया है। 11 एमएलसी सीटों के लिए वोटों की गिनती 27 अक्टूबर को होनी है।
