Nine Booked After Assault on NHAI Officials at Gumla Project Site

Police have registered an FIR against nine villagers in Gumla for allegedly assaulting NHAI officials and employees of a construction company. The incident occurred at the Parsa construction site on Saturday when villagers objected to alignment work on land for which compensation had already been paid. The villagers allegedly abused and attacked the officials and employees with sticks, resulting in injuries to three people. One injured individual was referred to RIMS, Ranchi, for further treatment. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
