Nine Kasimedu Fishermen Missing At Sea After Boat Engine Snag

Nine fishermen from Kasimedu, who set out on October 29, are missing off the Andhra Pradesh coast after their mechanised boat suffered an engine failure. The vessel had initially taken shelter at Nizampatnam harbour due to a cyclone warning. After resuming their journey, the engine broke down, and subsequent attempts to contact the fishermen failed. The Coast Guard has initiated a search operation following a complaint lodged by the boat owner. Families of the missing fishermen staged a protest seeking swift action.

29 अक्टूबर को निकले कासिमेडु के नौ मछुआरे आंध्र प्रदेश के तट पर लापता हो गए हैं, उनकी मशीनीकृत नाव का इंजन खराब हो गया था। चक्रवात की चेतावनी के कारण पोत ने शुरू में निज़ामापटनम बंदरगाह में शरण ली थी। अपनी यात्रा फिर से शुरू करने के बाद, इंजन खराब हो गया, और मछुआरों से संपर्क करने के बाद के प्रयास विफल रहे। नाव मालिक द्वारा शिकायत दर्ज कराने के बाद कोस्ट गार्ड ने तलाशी अभियान शुरू कर दिया है। लापता मछुआरों के परिवारों ने त्वरित कार्रवाई की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया।
