Khargone police have seized over 15,000 cannabis plants, valued at approximately Rs 3 crore, in what is being called their largest-ever crackdown on illegal cultivation. The plants were discovered across two locations in the Helapadawa outpost area, requiring police to navigate challenging terrain and remote villages. This significant seizure is part of an ongoing effort to dismantle organised drug cultivation networks. Authorities are investigating potential links to other regions and are questioning several detained suspects to trace financial and communication trails.

खरगोन पुलिस ने 15,000 से ज़्यादा गांजे के पौधे जब्त किए हैं, जिनकी कीमत करीब 3 करोड़ रुपये है। इसे अवैध खेती के खिलाफ उनकी अब तक की सबसे बड़ी कार्रवाई बताया जा रहा है। ये पौधे हेलपाडवा चौकी इलाके में दो जगहों पर मिले, जहाँ पुलिस को मुश्किल रास्तों और दूरदराज के गांवों से होकर गुज़रना पड़ा। यह बड़ी ज़ब्ती संगठित ड्रग्स की खेती के नेटवर्क को खत्म करने के चल रहे प्रयासों का हिस्सा है। अधिकारी अन्य इलाकों से संभावित संबंधों की जांच कर रहे हैं और पैसों व बातचीत के सुरागों का पता लगाने के लिए कई हिरासत में लिए गए संदिग्धों से पूछताछ कर रहे हैं।
