Ex-Minister K.N. Nehru's Residence Searched by DVAC in Multi-Crore Cash-for-Jobs Scam

DVAC launched a search at the Tiruchi residence of former DMK Minister K.N. Nehru on Thursday, October 29, 2026. This operation is part of a wider search at 25 locations across Tamil Nadu concerning an alleged multi-crore cash-for-jobs scam. The DVAC is investigating irregularities in the recruitment of 2,538 positions within the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department between 2021 and 2025. This marks the second search at Mr. Nehru's premises since September, following a complaint by the Directorate of Enforcement.

DVAC ने गुरुवार, 29 अक्टूबर 2026 को पूर्व DMK मंत्री के.एन. नेहरू के तिरुचि स्थित आवास पर तलाशी ली। यह कार्रवाई तमिलनाडु में 25 जगहों पर कथित करोड़ों के नौकरी के बदले पैसे के घोटाले के संबंध में की गई एक बड़ी तलाशी का हिस्सा है। DVAC, 2021 और 2025 के बीच नगर प्रशासन और जल आपूर्ति विभाग में 2,538 पदों की भर्ती में अनियमितताओं की जांच कर रहा है। प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (Directorate of Enforcement) द्वारा शिकायत के बाद यह श्री नेहरू के परिसर में सितंबर के बाद दूसरी तलाशी है।
