Former India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik believes it's not advisable to recall experienced pacer Mohammed Shami for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Karthik stated that the Indian team management has likely moved beyond Shami, despite his strong domestic performances since his last India appearance in the 2025 Champions Trophy. The Indian bowling attack recently struggled in the ODI series against the West Indies, raising concerns ahead of next year's World Cup.
