Govt Extends RoDTEP and RoSCTL Export Tax Remission Schemes by Three Months

The Indian government has extended its Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) and Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) schemes by three months, until December 31. These schemes, which reimburse exporters for embedded non-creditable taxes and levies, were set to expire on Wednesday. RoSCTL is for textiles, while RoDTEP covers other products, aiming to ensure exports are not taxed. The extension provides policy continuity and supports the competitiveness of India's labour-intensive sectors in a challenging global market.
