Akal Takht Declares AAP MLA Giaspura Guilty of Religious Misconduct

The five Sikh high priests have declared Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura guilty of religious misconduct. Giaspura, representing the Payal constituency, allegedly made derogatory remarks against Sikh institutions and falsely accused the Golden Temple of caste-based discrimination. The high priests stated his allegations were contrary to Sikh principles, which reject such discrimination. In a separate decision, a self-styled preacher was also prohibited from conducting religious discourses due to remarks deemed contrary to Sikh traditions and Gurbani.

पांच सिख पंथ प्रमुखों ने आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक मनविंदर सिंह गियासपुरा को धार्मिक कदाचार का दोषी ठहराया है। पायल निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले गियासपुरा पर सिख संस्थानों के खिलाफ अपमानजनक टिप्पणी करने और गोल्डन टेम्पल पर जाति-आधारित भेदभाव का झूठा आरोप लगाने का आरोप है। प्रमुख पंथ प्रमुखों ने कहा कि उनके आरोप सिख सिद्धांतों के विपरीत हैं, जो ऐसे भेदभाव को अस्वीकार करते हैं। एक अलग फैसले में, एक स्वयंभू उपदेशक को भी सिख परंपराओं और गुरबानी के विपरीत मानी जाने वाली टिप्पणियों के कारण धार्मिक प्रवचन करने से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है।
