Kochi: Migrants Robbed of Valuables Worth Lakhs

Seven migrant workers were robbed of valuables worth lakhs by a five-member gang at their rented house in Palarivattom, Kochi. The accused allegedly trespassed into the home and assaulted the victims, forcing them to hand over 10 mobile phones worth ₹3.05 lakh, wallets, and other belongings. They also made UPI transactions totalling ₹12,000 and stole gold jewellery valued at approximately ₹1.8 lakh. The incident highlights security concerns for migrant populations.

कोच्चि के पालारिवट्टोम में किराए के मकान में सात प्रवासी मजदूरों से लाखों के सामान की लूट हुई। पांच लोगों के गिरोह ने घर में घुसकर मजदूरों से मारपीट की और 3.05 लाख रुपये के 10 मोबाइल फोन, बटुए और अन्य सामान छीन लिए। उन्होंने 12,000 रुपये के UPI ट्रांजेक्शन भी किए और करीब 1.8 लाख रुपये के सोने के गहने चुरा लिए। यह घटना प्रवासी आबादी की सुरक्षा पर सवाल उठाती है।
