The video was posted by Golam Nabi Azad, the BJP's main opponent in the constituency, who described the election as a "farce in the name of democracy." Meta stated the removal complied with a legal request from Indian authorities. Reports also indicated police turned away Muslim voters from some polling stations, with opposition workers alleging intimidation.
