Sonam Wangchuk Detained By Delhi Police

Activist Sonam Wangchuk was taken away by Delhi Police from Jantar Mantar early this morning. Police in civilian clothes arrived at the protest site, erected curtains, and detained Wangchuk amidst ongoing demonstrations. Wangchuk, an engineer and education reformist, is known for his environmental activism and has been on a hunger strike for climate action in Ladakh.

सोनम वांगचुक को दिल्ली पुलिस ने आज सुबह जंतर-मंतर से हिरासत में ले लिया। सादे कपड़ों में पुलिस प्रदर्शन स्थल पर पहुंची, पर्दे लगाए और वांगचुक को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। वांगचुक, जो एक इंजीनियर और शिक्षा सुधारक हैं, अपने पर्यावरण प्रेम के लिए जाने जाते हैं। वे लद्दाख में जलवायु परिवर्तन के खिलाफ भूख हड़ताल पर थे।
