Hyderabad Contract Teachers to Hold Dharna on Oct 15 for Job Security

Contract teachers in Telangana universities will stage a dharna on October 15 at the State Council of Higher Education in Hyderabad. The Universities Teachers’ Association (Contract), Telangana State, is demanding job security and regularisation for over 1,200 contract teachers. They also seek the implementation of UGC's 7th Pay Revision Commission scales and fulfilment of the Chief Minister's April 2025 assurance. The protest aims to safeguard the rights and future of contract faculty members across the state.

तेलंगाना के विश्वविद्यालयों में कॉन्ट्रैक्ट शिक्षक 15 अक्टूबर को हैदराबाद में स्टेट काउंसिल ऑफ हायर एजुकेशन में धरना देंगे। यूनिवर्सिटीज टीचर्स एसोसिएशन (कॉन्ट्रैक्ट), तेलंगाना स्टेट, 1,200 से ज़्यादा कॉन्ट्रैक्ट शिक्षकों के लिए नौकरी की सुरक्षा और नियमितीकरण की मांग कर रही है। वे UGC के 7वें वेतन संशोधन आयोग के स्केल लागू करने और अप्रैल 2025 के मुख्यमंत्री के वादे को पूरा करने की भी मांग कर रहे हैं। इस विरोध का उद्देश्य राज्य भर के कॉन्ट्रैक्ट फैकल्टी सदस्यों के अधिकारों और भविष्य को सुरक्षित करना है।
