India's food regulator, FSSAI, has issued a notice to e-commerce platform Zepto following a customer complaint about receiving expired besan. The complaint, shared on social media, alleged that two packs of gram flour were past their use-by date of September 12, 2026, at the time of delivery. FSSAI has directed Zepto to investigate the issue, provide details about the order and stock, and explain the root cause. The company must also confirm stock withdrawal, customer notifications, refunds, and outline corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

भारत के फूड रेगुलेटर FSSAI ने ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म Zepto को एक ग्राहक की शिकायत के बाद नोटिस जारी किया है। ग्राहक ने एक्सपायर्ड बेसन मिलने की शिकायत की थी। यह शिकायत सोशल मीडिया पर शेयर की गई थी, जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया था कि ग्राम फ्लोर के दो पैकेट डिलीवरी के समय 12 सितंबर 2026 की एक्सपायरी डेट के बाद के थे। FSSAI ने Zepto को इस मामले की जांच करने, ऑर्डर और स्टॉक का विवरण देने और मूल कारण बताने का निर्देश दिया है। कंपनी को स्टॉक वापस लेने, ग्राहकों को सूचित करने, रिफंड देने और भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई की रूपरेखा बताने की भी पुष्टि करनी होगी।
