Haryana Doubles Accident Cover For Sanitation Workers To Rs 10 Lakh

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the accidental insurance coverage for sanitation and sewer workers who die on duty has been doubled from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Addressing a gathering in Panipat, Saini also stated that a family member of a deceased worker will be offered employment along with gratuity benefits. The government has also brought over 5,000 sanitation workers hired through agencies onto the rolls of municipal bodies.

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने घोषणा की है कि ड्यूटी पर मरने वाले सफाई और सीवर कर्मचारियों के लिए दुर्घटना बीमा कवर को ₹5 लाख से बढ़ाकर ₹10 लाख कर दिया गया है। पानीपत में एक सभा को संबोधित करते हुए, सैनी ने यह भी कहा कि मृत कर्मचारी के परिवार के सदस्य को ग्रेच्युटी लाभ के साथ रोजगार की पेशकश की जाएगी। सरकार ने एजेंसियों के माध्यम से नियुक्त 5,000 से अधिक सफाई कर्मचारियों को भी नगर निकायों के अधीन कर लिया है।
