Unacademy founders Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini are launching a new venture capital fund named Longshot Capital, aiming to raise Rs 700 crore. The fund will focus on investing in AI, manufacturing, space, defence, and robotics startups. Longshot Capital has already secured commitments of Rs 300 crore and plans its first close in January 2027. Saini will lead the fund full-time, while Munjal will be involved part-time. This move follows a trend of startup founders establishing investment funds.

अनअकैडमी के संस्थापकों गौरव मुंजाल और रोमन सैनी एक नया वेंचर कैपिटल फंड 'लॉन्गशॉट कैपिटल' लॉन्च कर रहे हैं, जिसका लक्ष्य 700 करोड़ रुपये जुटाना है। यह फंड AI, मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, स्पेस, डिफेंस और रोबोटिक्स स्टार्टअप्स में निवेश पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा। लॉन्गशॉट कैपिटल ने पहले ही 300 करोड़ रुपये की प्रतिबद्धता हासिल कर ली है और जनवरी 2027 में अपना पहला क्लोज करने की योजना बना रहा है। सैनी फंड का नेतृत्व फुल-टाइम करेंगे, जबकि मुंजाल पार्ट-टाइम शामिल होंगे। यह कदम स्टार्टअप संस्थापकों द्वारा निवेश फंड स्थापित करने की प्रवृत्ति के अनुरूप है।
