During a promotional event, she shared her experience of intense nervousness while shooting a scene requiring her to deliver lengthy Tamil dialogues and smoke a cigarette. Balan recalled director Nelson Dilipkumar giving her new dialogues just before the shoot, causing her hands to shake and voice to tremble. She mentioned that this film marked her first collaboration with superstar Rajinikanth, adding to her anxiety.
