KPIT Tech Stock Falls Amid Auto Sector Weakness

Economic Times · stocks

KPIT Technologies' stock has declined 24% in three months due to reduced demand from the global automotive sector. The company, which provides software for autonomous driving and electric powertrains, saw its net profit drop significantly in the June quarter. This was caused by engineering budget cuts and project delays from European automobile companies. Despite new deal wins totaling $257 million, a recovery is not expected until the second half of the fiscal year, with the September quarter likely to remain weak.
