The Hindu - International · world

Yemeni government forces have released videos showing them driving armoured vehicles over Houthi fighters as they recaptured territory near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The footage, verified by Reuters, depicts soldiers running over unarmed combatants, some with hands raised. The Houthis have decried the videos as proof of war crimes. Fighting continued near the vital strait on Tuesday, with government forces attempting to consolidate their gains. This marks a deadly new phase in Yemen's fragmented conflict.
