समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने बीजेपी और चुनाव अधिकारियों पर विशेष गहन संशोधन प्रक्रिया के दौरान मतदाता सूची में हेरफेर करने का आरोप लगाया है। उनका दावा है कि अधिकारी बीजेपी के इशारे पर काम कर रहे हैं, जिससे बड़े पैमाने पर अनियमितताएं हो रही हैं और असली मतदाताओं को धोखाधड़ी से हटाया जा रहा है। यादव ने विशेष रूप से आजमगढ़ में कथित तौर पर दो बार वोटिंग का जिक्र किया और मुख्यमंत्री के वोट बढ़ाने के निर्देशों पर सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने टीसीएस कंपनी पर भी चुनाव आयोग के साथ मिलीभगत कर इन कथित कदाचारों को सुविधाजनक बनाने का आरोप लगाया और सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने की कसम खाई।
