Director Abhinay Deo recalled the late actor Irrfan Khan's immense dedication during the filming of 'Blackmail'. Despite undergoing cancer treatment, Irrfan ran 200 metres multiple times for a scene without revealing his health condition. He only indicated his struggle by stating it would be his last take as he might fall afterwards. Deo was later shocked to learn about Irrfan's diagnosis, highlighting the actor's profound commitment to his craft. Irrfan battled a neuroendocrine tumour and passed away in 2020.

निर्देशक अभिनय देव ने 'ब्लैकमेल' की शूटिंग के दौरान दिवंगत अभिनेता इरफ़ान ख़ान के ज़बरदस्त समर्पण को याद किया। कैंसर का इलाज कराने के बावजूद, इरफ़ान ने अपनी स्वास्थ्य स्थिति का खुलासा किए बिना एक सीन के लिए कई बार 200 मीटर दौड़े। उन्होंने केवल यह कहकर अपनी परेशानी का संकेत दिया कि यह उनका आखिरी टेक होगा क्योंकि वह बाद में गिर सकते हैं। देव बाद में इरफ़ान के निदान के बारे में जानकर चौंक गए, जिससे अभिनेता की अपनी कला के प्रति गहरी प्रतिबद्धता उजागर हुई। इरफ़ान ने न्यूरोएंडोक्राइन ट्यूमर से लड़ाई लड़ी और 2020 में उनका निधन हो गया।
