UK universities are withdrawing admission offers to students from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Bangladesh due to a new rule requiring institutions to keep visa refusal rates below 5%. This crackdown aims to prevent abuse of the immigration system, but universities fear breaching the threshold could lead to losing their sponsor licenses. यूके की यूनिवर्सिटी भारत, पाकिस्तान, नाइजीरिया और बांग्लादेश के छात्रों को एडमिशन ऑफर वापस दे रही हैं। ऐसा इसलिए हो रहा है क्योंकि एक नया नियम आया है जिसके तहत यूनिवर्सिटी को वीजा इनकार की दर 5% से नीचे रखनी होगी। इस सख्ती का मकसद इमिग्रेशन सिस्टम के दुरुपयोग को रोकना है, लेकिन यूनिवर्सिटी को डर है कि अगर वे इस सीमा को पार कर गईं तो उनका स्पॉन्सर लाइसेंस छिन सकता है। डेटा दिखाता है कि स्टडी वीजा आवेदनों की संख्या में काफी बढ़ोतरी हुई है, खासकर पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और नाइजीरिया से। भारत से आए आवेदनों में भी बढ़ोतरी देखी गई, जिससे इन प्रमुख अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्र बाजारों से भर्ती पर असर पड़ रहा है।
