India's T20I captain Shreyas Iyer acknowledged the difficult decision of selecting two opening batters for the Afghanistan series. With Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi all available, Iyer and coach Gautam Gambhir face a selection headache. Iyer stated that the final decision would be made later, emphasizing communication with players who don't make the cut. He also confirmed Ishan Kishan is fit to play after a minor niggle.
