बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) को मुंबई में 44 साल पुरानी हाउसिंग सोसाइटी के रीडेवलपमेंट के लिए छह हफ्तों के भीतर नो-ऑब्जेक्शन सर्टिफिकेट (एनओसी) जारी करने का निर्देश दिया है। सोसाइटी का रीडेवलपमेंट ईडी द्वारा उसके एक फ्लैट को अटैच करने के बाद रुका हुआ था। कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया कि ईडी के हितों की सुरक्षा रिप्लेसमेंट फ्लैट और उससे जुड़े वित्तीय लाभों को कवर करने वाले सुरक्षा उपायों के माध्यम से की जा सकती है। इस फैसले से सोसाइटी को एक डेवलपर नियुक्त करने और असुरक्षित इमारत के आधुनिकीकरण की प्रक्रिया शुरू करने की अनुमति मिल गई है, जो इसके वरिष्ठ नागरिक निवासियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।
