Akhilesh Yadav: Victory, Not Seat Count, Matters For INDIA Bloc

The Hindu · india

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav stated that the INDIA bloc's victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election is paramount, not the number of seats each party contests. He emphasized that the alliance's goal is to prevent communalism and protect democracy, the Constitution, and reservations from the BJP. This statement comes amidst ongoing disputes between SP and Congress leaders regarding seat-sharing for the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. Leaders from both parties have exchanged barbs over seat allocation expectations and past electoral cooperation.
