Several prestigious British private schools, known as 'public schools' in the UK, are expanding their presence in India. This move comes as market conditions in China become more challenging and the UK imposes VAT on private school fees from January 2025. Schools like Harrow, Bedford, Queen Elizabeth's, and Shrewsbury have opened campuses in Indian cities such as Bengaluru, Mohali, Gurugram, and Bhopal. This expansion caters to India's growing number of affluent families seeking international educational standards and global exposure for their children.
