Mizoram CM's Adviser Urges Manipur, Myanmar Communities To Unite Under Mizo Identity

Mizoram Chief Minister's political adviser Lalmuanpuia Punte has urged ethnic Mizos in Manipur and Myanmar to unite under a common Mizo identity. Speaking at the Mizo Integration Cultural Festival, he stated that Mizos in Mizoram, Kukis in Manipur, and Chins in Myanmar share the same culture and ancestry. Punte emphasized that clan and sub-clan divisions hinder unity, suggesting that identifying as Mizo would foster greater strength and cooperation. The festival, organized by the Mizo Integration Council, also saw Mizoram's art and culture minister advocating for the integration of ethnic Mizos.
