BJP MLAs Condemn Police Action Against Female Students Protesting Exams

Two BJP MLAs, D Vedavyas Kamath and Bharath Shetty, have strongly condemned the alleged police assault on female students and ABVP activists in Mangaluru. The students were protesting against St Agnes College's decision to hold semester examinations during the Dasara festival. The MLAs criticised the state government's handling of the situation, with Kamath calling the police action inexcusable and questioning the treatment of women. They demanded the suspension of guilty police personnel and called for a permanent order prohibiting exams during festivals.
