South Korea's state-run pension fund, the world's third-largest, is seeking a licence to invest in Indian government securities. This move comes as India aims to attract more foreign capital into its debt market through easier registration and lower taxes. The fund, with over $1.3 trillion in assets, would be among the first to apply under a new, less stringent compliance route for foreign investors focused solely on government bonds.
