Ministry Directs Employers Not to Cut Salaries After EPF Wage Ceiling Rise
Times of India · business
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has instructed employers not to reduce employee salaries following the EPFO decision to raise the wage ceiling from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. This directive aims to prevent companies from adjusting the increased employer contribution against employees' cost to company (CTC). Employers are urged to view their statutory contributions as an investment in human resources, promoting employee satisfaction and retention.
