Aavin Hikes Milk Product Prices Ahead Of Diwali; First Revision Under CM Vijay

Tamil Nadu's state-owned dairy cooperative, Aavin, has announced a price increase for various milk by-products, including ghee, butter, and curd, effective October 28. This marks the first price revision under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's government. Aavin cited rising raw material and procurement costs as reasons for the hike. The price of a 100ml pack of ghee will increase from ₹80 to ₹95, and butter prices will also see a rise. The cooperative also recently increased milk procurement prices for farmers.
