Madras HC to Hear PIL on Gem Granites

A public interest litigation has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking the transfer of the investigation into the sexual assault case against granite baron R. Veeramani from Chennai City Police to the CBI or an SIT. The petitioner cited gaps in the initial investigation and alleged media interference. चेन्नई सिटी पुलिस के बजाय सीबीआई या एसआईटी से ग्रेनाइट कारोबारी आर. वीरमणि के यौन उत्पीड़न मामले की जांच ट्रांसफर करने की मांग वाली एक जनहित याचिका मद्रास हाईकोर्ट में दायर की गई है। याचिकाकर्ता ने शुरुआती जांच में खामियों और मीडिया के हस्तक्षेप का आरोप लगाया है। फर्स्ट डिविजन बेंच याचिका की जांच के बाद मामले की सुनवाई करेगी।
