Bengaluru Techie Accused of Rape Kidnapped by Girlfriend, 10 Others

Bengaluru police rescued a software engineer and his roommate within six hours of a kidnapping complaint. The engineer, B Mahendra, was allegedly kidnapped by his girlfriend and 10 others to punish him for rape. The 21-year-old woman allegedly planned the abduction on October 28 in Marathahalli. Police arrested all 11 individuals, including the woman, on charges of kidnapping and illegal confinement. Subsequently, based on the woman's complaint, a separate case was registered, and Mahendra and his roommate were arrested.
