Supreme Court Won't Hear Every Stuck Housing Project Case, Says CJI

The Supreme Court has expressed concern over the continuous filing of petitions by homebuyers of stalled real estate projects. CJI Surya Kant stated that the apex court cannot become a platform for every problematic housing project in India. He explained that hearing individual cases would delay the final verdict on the main case. The CJI advised petitioners to await the main judgment or approach the relevant High Courts for relief. He noted that once the Supreme Court gives its opinion, High Courts cannot deviate from it.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अटके हुए रियल एस्टेट प्रोजेक्ट्स के खरीदारों द्वारा लगातार याचिकाएं दायर करने पर चिंता जताई है। सीजेआई सूर्य कांत ने कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट भारत में हर समस्याग्रस्त हाउसिंग प्रोजेक्ट के लिए एक मंच नहीं बन सकता। उन्होंने समझाया कि व्यक्तिगत मामलों को सुनने से मुख्य मामले पर अंतिम फैसला आने में देरी होगी। सीजेआई ने याचिकाकर्ताओं को मुख्य फैसले का इंतजार करने या राहत के लिए संबंधित हाई कोर्ट जाने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने कहा कि एक बार सुप्रीम कोर्ट अपनी राय दे दे, तो हाई कोर्ट उससे भटक नहीं सकते।
