MCG Engineer Named In Graft Case Goes

MCG has assigned the duties of executive engineer Pardeep Kumar, who was named in a corruption complaint, to another engineer during his leave. Kumar has been on leave, following the arrest of a computer operator in connection with the case. A contractor alleged that Rs 92,000 was demanded for clearing a civic works bill. The vigilance bureau arrested the computer operator while allegedly accepting Rs 12,000. The MCG order does not mention the vigilance case or any disciplinary action.
