Protestor Recounts Alleged Police Assault and Illegal Detention

Aranya Singh Rathore, 25, has approached the Delhi High Court alleging she was assaulted by police during her detention. She claims she was hit on a bus, isolated from other detainees, and assaulted again. Rathore also stated she was taken to two hospitals where she was pressured to undergo a medico-legal check, which she refused. For several hours, even after dark, she was denied contact with her family or lawyers.

25 साल की आरण्य सिंह राठौर ने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट का रुख किया है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया है कि हिरासत के दौरान पुलिस ने उनके साथ मारपीट की। उनका कहना है कि उन्हें एक बस में मारा गया, दूसरे हिरासत में लिए गए लोगों से अलग रखा गया और फिर से पीटा गया। राठौर ने यह भी बताया कि उन्हें दो अस्पतालों में ले जाया गया जहाँ उन पर मेडिको-लीगल जांच कराने का दबाव डाला गया, जिसे उन्होंने मना कर दिया। कई घंटों तक, अंधेरा होने के बाद भी, उन्हें अपने परिवार या वकीलों से संपर्क नहीं करने दिया गया।
