The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has overturned a four-year doping ban imposed on Japanese race walker Koki Ikeda. Ikeda, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics, was banned in 2025 due to abnormalities in his Athlete Biological Passport indicating blood manipulation. CAS stated that Ikeda presented a plausible alternative physiological scenario, including personal medical conditions, to explain the abnormalities. He had appealed the ban to the world's top sports court. Ikeda finished seventh in the 20km race walk at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
