Oregon Ducks QB Dylan Raiola Benched in Close Loss to UCLA

Hindustan Times · sports

Oregon Ducks quarterback Dylan Raiola was benched in the fourth quarter during their 17-15 home loss to UCLA. Head coach Dan Lanning made the tactical decision after Raiola struggled, completing only 6 of 19 passes for 43 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble. Backup Brock Thomas replaced Raiola and had a more effective performance, completing 11 of 15 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. The benching was reportedly not due to injury but rather a strategic move to address offensive performance issues.
