Airlines Question Ministry Over MIAL's Plan To Shift Gulf Carriers To Navi Mumbai

Business Standard · business

Airlines operating at Mumbai airport have asked the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) if it approved Mumbai International Airport Ltd's (MIAL's) plan to relocate select Gulf carriers to Navi Mumbai. MIAL informed some Gulf airlines that their flights would not be accommodated from next summer due to Terminal 1 reconstruction. MIAL intends to shift flights to 14 international destinations by March 2027. The Airline Operators Committee (AOC) has requested MoCA to clarify its approval status and urge MIAL to reconsider the decision.
